Now here's what we've got.... everything you see should be underwater except the most distant hill in the first picture!

Folsom Lake Nearing Capacity

Folsom Lake, with the April rains coupled with snow melt from the Sierras, is starting to fill up. Here it is about 830,000 acre feet vs. the 977K capacity.



If you click on the picture to expand it you can see the Folsom Dam in the top-left portion of the picture. It was pretty windy as you can tell from the water.

Here's a graph showing the rapid, yet fairly normal, rise in the lake since January.
