Family Coaster!!
Elle was a trooper on her first roller coaster. A coaster designed for kids and very tame...but very scary for a 4-year old The picture taken before this one featured a look of sheer terror for her.

Pinewood Derby!
Here's a pretty bad video of one the Pinewood Derby races featuring Jack's Penny Mobile! His car is the brown one and he finishes a strong second in the race...even though it is kind of blocked.
Here's a picture of the car. It is inspired by some of the cars Dad and I built back in the day but a little uglier. The main deal with these cars is getting them as close to the 5 ounce weight limit as possible with more of the weight in the back.
We used old "wheat pennies" as our weights and drilled out an inch in the back to load with pennies. We had a bronzed '64 Kennedy half dollar on the front but realized we'd glued too many pennies in the back which sent us over the weight limit. So we quickly swapped out the 50 cent piece for a penny making the car that much uglier. But she was pretty fast though.

Jack was called out for the speed of his "shooting" ability in wrestling which was really neat given it was only his 5th practice.
The Awkward Sibling Hug
Jack and Elle learned about the awkward sibling show from the Gravity Falls show and could immediately relate. They did it for Steph and I before we knew what it was and we cracked up.

Journey!!!
Journey played at a conference I went to earlier this week. A fantastic show considering there was no Steve Perry! Definitely worth seeing if you get a chance as I know they are on tour this Summer.
This was perhaps my favorite tune they did! Faithfully - A classic if there ever was one!

Amazon Echo
We are among the early beta testers of the Amazon Echo. After spending a few weeks with this thing, I give it very high marks. Highly recommended for anyone who has Amazon Prime. It has changed the way I listen to music. You just tell it what artist or song you want and it just starts playing. Genious.

A Bowl Victory! The Orange no less!
This was my favorite of the post-game articles... As they state, the 49-34 score wasn't nearly that close considering 7 points came on the fluke Hail Mary at the end of the first half and a huge missed call fumble in the first half led to 3 points for MSU instead of probably 7 more for GT.
All in all - a super enjoyable win after going 1-8 over the past 9 bowl games!

The game is vastly different than it is today! Mizzou scores first but GT's trickery denies the Tigers their first bowl victory ever.

The Christmas Train
We went on a Christmas train over the week-end. The highlight was the kids getting to meet and talk to Santa. First he reviewed their lists!
He then told Jack that live animals don't really do well in the sleigh so he couldn't make his wish for a puppy happen.

Jack and Elle Meet Santa!
Elle finally mustered up the courage to sit in Santa's lap. This year she's asking for a camera, a wallet, and a puppy among other things. Jack doesn't really seem to have that specific of an ask this time which makes sense. The boy has all he needs!
