Clifford and Michigan State???

Today was football day at school to celebrate the new season upon us.  Steph and I were a little appalled to see that Jack has outgrown everything but his Michigan State gear (of which there is a constant stream coming in courtesy of Aunt Jasper and Grandpa DeBruyn).   So Michigan State it was!  Go Sparties!

Elle, who owns no football gear, decided to celebrate by hopping on Clifford (the big red dog - implying she's rooting for Nebraska undoubtedly)

Steph and I will be placing some orders for Georgia Tech and Michigan clothing later today!

Jack and Mom do Home Depot Project

Here's a first. Jack continued his monthly Home Depot project streak thanks to Mom bellying up with the upcoming baby (no pun intended)and taking him.



Note he was wearing his Michigan State jersey and wasn't disappointed as the Spartans (along with the Wolverines and Yellow Jackets) all earned victories Saturday.

Why Michigan State Lost?

Here are Jack and I playing with his completely authentic all wood set of Lincoln Logs...It should be noted this was the day of the Final Four game between Michigan State and Butler. One of us was representing with a State shirt...the other, however, was forced to wear Butler brown as he didn't have a MSU shirt! He wants that corrected for his birthday this Summer.

NCAA Thunderous 24 In Place!

The Thunderous 24 is in place and surprisingly it includes Georgia Tech and Michigan State...More surprisingly is the absence of Tourney #1 seed Kansas. While the KU ousting shocked the country it is a feeling KU fans are somewhat used to... here's the deal though...if there is a National Championship sandwiched between these shocks (as there is in Kansas' case) it is a trade most will make.

Tourney Time! Hawks, Jackets, Spartans all Hoopin'

And all in the same Midwest bracket no less!

I'm partial to this "FOX Expert's Picks" though he has much more faith in Georgia Tech than I do...



Regardless, it is nice to just see Tech in tourney after a few years sitting at home. And they had a nice run to the finals of the ACC Tourney as well.
