Wave! You're on a Waverunner!

We got to help Grandpa launch his waverunner into the lake for the first time.   For a minute Jack thought he was going to get to ride it by himself!  Maybe in 10 years...!

Later, Jack and I went out into Lake Michigan and into Muskegon Lake and took a "selfie" in front of the Milwaukee Clipper! Once a ferry now reduced to a tourist attraction.

With a lot of travel upon up for this Summer we found a lost video from a year or so ago where Jack deemed himself Elle's herder.

Giants Baseball

Jack and I enjoyed great seats on the first row of the third base line at a recent San Francisco Giants game.  He even scored a ball tossed to him prior to the game from one of the Giants!  To top it all off the Giants won!

California Chrome!

Excitement was running high out here about the prospects of a Triple Crown winner from California... Although it didn't happen we're still proud of that horse!

Arizona!

Here's a cactus flower I shot from a recent trip to Phoenix. We stayed at the Arizona Biltmore which also has the distinction of being where Bing Crosby penned White Christmas! The Reagans honeymooned here as well. It was a nice hotel with beautiful grounds.

Jack Scores a Diploma

It's now on to first grade for Jack!  He's definitely ready.

Elle's Swiming Milestone

She's built up the confidence to "swim" independently in her vest!   With swimming lessons underway she should continue to improve this summer.

Summer Kicks Off!

Jack was excited to be going to "Camp Phoenix" for his school's summer program. The theme at Elle's school is Frozen... still need a picture of that...

Two Little Pancakes!

The kids got to go to school together today since Jack's school was closed for the Summer transition. We celebrated with dinner out (letting Mom escape for a girls night). Happy week-end!

The Power of A Great Big Brother

Turns out Bill and Elle have something in common...yeap - the each have great older brothers!   Elle got to experience that last week when they each had a dentist appointment.  Elle went first and she was scared and generally not happy throughout the examination.  Then big brother showed up for his appointment and Elle was a different girl.

You can see the evidence in the pictures they take as appointment reminders...

The Taco Bell ChocolateTaco - This isn't the dessert you are looking for!

Kids certainly get excited by this concept...

But the enclosed chocolate package seems really processed. And the chocolate taco shells are somewhat bland and basically taste like a blue unsalted chip.

With role models like Granny, Mimi and of course her own Mom who can blame Elle for wanting to become a Mom herself one day.... Of course that day will be far, far, far into the future!
