Hands Full??? Not! Welcome Football Season

Football season is finally upon us.  Nebraska is talking Big 10 title, Georgia Tech is talking ACC Title Game...,  Arkansas State - Sun Belt Title and the mighty Arkansas Razorbacks have fallen so far they are talking avoiding the bottom of the SEC West.

Here's one of the dumbest graphics I found from a few years ago.   The Sooners certainly had their hands full with A&M....  they were only up 31!

The JFK Conspiracy

During my time in Dallas recently, I spent a little time at Dealey Plaza talking to JFK conspiracy theorists. Here's a video I made from the conversations.

Flowers and Fences

We recently made a few modifications to our fence to open up the view a bit. As part of it, we needed to enhance our own landscaping a bit so replanted the pots and did some "barking". The flowers are doing surprisingly well - we think because they miss the worst of the intense sun in late afternoon.

Little Rock Arkansas named "Most Livable City"

Curiously, I just saw in Kiplingers that Little Rock was named the most livable city in America.  Though the poor education system was highlighted as a negative the rest of the city scored well...

I saw this product at Target today, and I now have an idea how the world will end. Here's a timeline explaining the apocalypse:


2012 - Taco Bell begins selling Doritos Locos Tacos, tacos with shells made from Doritos.


2013 - Frito Lay produces a Doritos Locos Tacos flavored chip, a chip flavored like a taco that is flavored like a chip.


2014 - Taco Bell will begin selling the Doritos Locos Tacos Locos Taco, a taco flavored like a chip that is flavored like a taco that is flavored like a chip.


2015 - Not to be outdone, Frito Lay will produce Doritos Locos Tacos Locos Tacos Doritos, Doritos flavored like a taco that is flavored like a chip that is flavored like a taco that is flavored like a chip.


2016 - Taco Bell will frantically try to create a Doritos Locos Tacos Locos Tacos Locos Tacos Taco, a taco flavored like a chip that is flavored like a taco that is flavored like a chip that is flavored like a taco that is flavored like a chip. However, the manufacturing process will go terribly wrong and the world will explode in a massive cloud of nacho flavored orange sodium dust.

Atlanta Scores a Big Ferris Wheel!

Atlanta - perhaps feeling slighted because of London's giant Eye ferris wheel opened their own SkyView today. I found this picture from it in which, if you look closely you can just make out Georgia Tech's Bobby Dodd stadium!

Run into one of these "first batch" special boxes at Wal-Mart today and of course snapped one up.

Jack will be scoring one in his lunch tomorrow. They also had Donettes (chocolate and powdered) but I passed on those.

Rendering Fries to Fuel

Ran across this odd truck recently and it was a good opportunity to take a panoramic photo.   Seeing a truck dedicated to rendering "fries to fuel" isn't something you run across every  day... even in Cali!

Fourth of July - The Heat was On!

Happy belated Fourth of July.  The annual cattle drive was cancelled due to the crazy heat... 5 days straight of 105+. 



We managed to have plenty of fun regardless of the temperatures.
