What's Inside a K-Cup?

My Keurig machine failed so I've been cutting the coffee out of my remaining K-cups for use in alternate coffee makers. The inside of a K-cup is interesting. It's about half full of coffee. The coffee is held in a tiny basket-shaped filter.

  1. those things usually have a good warranty and they'll send you a replacement... cause they want you to keep buying the k-cups! We're on machine #4!

I replaced it with a Hamilton Beach "The Scoop" and have been happy with my weekday morning single cup brew.
