After losing a lot of skill / talent from last year's National Championship team, Michigan's big claim in 2024 might be maintaining the Little Brown Jug.

Piecaken Experiment

Bill and Olivia collaborated on a "Piecaken" for his birthday.  This one had a Thanksgiving theme featuring a pecan pie and a pumpkin encased within a vanilla cake.  Bill did not give the finished product high marks.

Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene brought a lot of downed trees and branches in our neighborhood.  Thankfully, it could have been much worse.

This drink did not do it for me. Hopefully the movie will be better than the drink!

Dolly Cake

There seem to be more and more of the Dolly branded items on the shelves.  We found this nearly a year ago at Publix and it seems to be a hit.  Note Pete laying in the back hoping to get some cake!

Our vacation started with a bonus because we got to see the Nebraska Tangemans because they happened to be on one of their grand Disney excursions.  Lots of fun!

Jeep Spark Plug Project

Jack wanted to try and change the spark plugs in his 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The dealer quoted us $599 for the job so there was money to be saved if he could do it.

We ordered all 16! plugs and torque socket set. ~6 hours later he completed the job and did great!

McDonald's Grandma McFlurry Review

We had a chance to try the Grandma McFlurry at McDonalds recently.  It didn't look nearly as nice as the picture in a small paper cup.  The consensus was you would be better off (taste and financially) with a caramel sundae.

The advertisement's photo far exceeds reality.

Spark Plug Change in the 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee

We were due for new spark plugs in the 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L.  The big engine meant 16 plugs!  The dealership wanted $599 to do it but Jack wanted to try to do it himself.  The parts were $150.  $100 for the plugs and $50 for a torque socket set.  We went for it and Jack did it all himself with limited supervision and for sure did a better job than what we would have gotten at the dealer.
