Jack's Cloud City in Legos

Jack declared he'd like to have the Lego Cloud City (featured in The Empire Strikes Back). Cloud City is one of the most rare and expensive Lego sets because they made it 10 years ago...so the going rate on eBay for a complete set is upwards of $1000!!! Yes - for a bunch of plastic. That, of course, is a no go so we told him to use his imagination and make his own Cloud City with lego pieces he already had ... Below is his creation. He did a great job and it could be even better than the original!

Elle Loves Target!

Elle loves going to Target. Whenever we're close by in the car she starts talking about going. She's the same thing with Costco though no quite with as much fervor....

Darth Vader's Death Star (Perspectives)

A few week's back Jack was leading an art exercise with Mimi, Mom and Elle.  The subject?  Darth Vader's Death Star.

Elle's is perhaps the most abstract while the others all share some similarities...

Jack Earned His Driver's License at Legoland!

The real driving race cars were a big hit.  Jack rode twice and greatly improved in round 2.  Here is round 1!


And of course, they give you a little paper license at the end...but allow you to be a $7 version that is a bit fancier. Which we did of course :)

Chick-Fil-A Royalty

We went to the Chick-Fil-A Prince/Princess night.  Poor Elle is still deathly afraid of the cow mascot - even when she's a princess!   Jack didn't mind at all though!

 

We mainly went to give Elle a chance to use one of her princess costumes and she loved it...so long as the cow at least 10 feet away from her at all times...

Folsom's New Decorative Garbage Trucks

Folsom is beginning to get garbage trucks with custom paint jobs. They are pretty cool. Too bad Jack is a bit past his garbage truck frenzy! Though Elle has a nice appreciate for them as well!
