Would you like some spaghetti to go with your cheese?

Jack ate spaghetti with us the other night and we gave him the cheese and did a poor job of supervising what he did with it. Here's the result!

Concepts in Cats

My friend Ed voiced a commercial for a new cat specialty shop in the Haymarket called Concepts in Cats. Mullins and I each edited a video to the voice spot. Mine features Erin's cats Riley and Emma.

Pepsi Next

In an attempt to fill the 1/2 sugar void left by Coke when they pulled C2 from shelves, Pepsi has introduced Pepsi Next. It has 60 calories a can and tastes about like regular sugar Pepsi. A good option if you can't stand the taste of regular diet cola.

NCAA Women's Basketball... the bright spot for GT AND KU...

She's been a tough year for GT basketball...no home court, new coach, best players from last year bolted to the NBA. The women, however, are blazing new trails with their first trip to the sweet 16. The run is likely to end with the next game against undefeated Baylor...

Zuchini Boxes Belong in the Pantry

And that's exactly where Jack was putting them.  While these zuchini boxes can be easily confused with Kleenex boxes it is only in the mind of an imaginative 4-year old where their true purpose is established...

Photos and Random Kindness

Jack and I went to the Effie Yeaw Nature Center as part of his playgroup this week-end. It was a beautiful day for early March. Nearly 80 degrees and sunny.

When it was time to hike the kids took off with Jack and his friend Cassie leading the way. This is pretty normal so we let kids be kids and kept our eye on them from further back on the trail.

As we approached the river we were stopped by a photographer asking about the "two kids". Turns out he had gotten some great unposed shots of them and offered to email them to us. Turns out this was a professional photographer and his work is great.

Here's our favorite picture of Jack that he took:

I had my camera and was taking a lot of pictures too. Steph signed me up for a photography class for Christmas so I was practicing taking pictures in "manual" mode. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the morning:

Introducing the jPad

Jack was the "student of the week" in his class last week. This requires more work for parents than it does of kids and on Friday he was tasked with bringing a poster to school to hang up.

We decided to design this poster after the world's most popular tablet device.

22 Fake Apple Shut Down...in 1 China City!

When I read last year about a fake Apple store being discovered and shut down in China I was surprised. The surprise factor improbably elevated when I read this article. 22 imposter stores discovered and shut down....in 1 city. If that is the case that it seems like a reasonable assumption that there are probably hundreds of fake Apple stores littered throughout China.
